Audio: Huey Walker does 18min Remix for Lumières Claires
Three Years ago, in January 2009, the Home-Rec.-Folk-Duo Lumières Claires released their Album „Please Don’t Focus On My Mistakes. Please Don’t Focus On My Mistakes.“. Its 36 Minutes featured ten sweet’n’rough, home-recorded Tunes.
Now they release a Compilation with Remixes/Reworks/Coverversions/Re-Interpretations of these Songs by different Artists from all over the World, plus an unreleased Song by the Band itself.
Huey Walker’s 18:22 minutes long „Hummingbird Rework“ of „Ellipsoid“ catches a broad Palette of Emotions, Sounds and Figures. It starts with a Carpet made of Strings, collapses in Bleeps’n’Blurpses and slowly melts in tribal-beaty, moogish Electronica, dripples in some Acid-Sweeps and ends up with a Rhodes-Coda, that combines Christin Schalko’s Voice with completely different Chord-Structures than the original Song – evoking a melancholic and airy Wideness.
„Please Don’t Focus On My Mistakes. Please Don’t Focus On My Mistakes. Reworks“ is self-released by the Lumières Claires. Mastering on the album was done by S. Kautz alias Solidphase alias Membrana Tympani, who has done a very nice Dubstep-Industrial-Airfeely-Edit on the Reworks-Sampler, too.
